Carving Pumpkins!

We just love this time of year! Todd and I have a tradition every year for pumpkin carving. We usually put in Sleepy Hollow, with Johnny Depp and carve a pumpkin for each of us (Todd usually makes Ava's because he's so good at it!). This was the first year Ava was really involved. So we had to forego the Sleepy Hollow movie this year. Its just a little too scary for her. She was not impressed at all in the beginning. Pulling disgusting pumpkin guts out of a pumpkin is not her idea of fun. I SO wish I had gotten a pic of her with her hands over her mouth gagging at Todd showing her how. So, she sat and watched TV while we cleaned out the pumpkins. Then, Todd asked her to draw a smile face on her pumpkin and that got her in it! Todd took the designing from there and drew the rest of her pumpkin. Then she got to carve it too, but of course with Todd's help. Then we carved ours too. Ava loves the different facial expressions. She says the sad pumpkin is crying because he wants a pop tart. Haha, too cute! So here are some pics!
